I bought a 10" Meade Schmidt Cassegrain 2120 many years ago. The photos below represent nights of "work" I had at Mt. Pinos, California. All pictures were taken in 1989.
Mt. Pinos is a favorite spot for Astrophotographers in the Los Angeles area. It is located off of U.S. Highway 5, in the Los Padres National Forest. It is "the place" to go. There is a huge parking lot at the end of the road and many enthusiasts come up for the weekend.
I was new to astrophotography, so these are the first and last pictures that I took, not making time since then to enjoy this pastime. I hope to have a few more sessions in the spring of '96 and maybe catch comet Hale-Bopp in Feb/March of '96.
