A Rememberance of his Buddies from the 7th- January 5, 2002. From Ed Dickinson. "A", "SV" and "C" Btrys. "I was just looking over the photos on Oahu. You said to write if we remembered any of the men. Ameado Rotella (picture at far right) was a mechanic in Sv. Btry.I was a Lt. and for as while was Bn Ammo Officer.Rotella told me that if I ever got to Omaha to look him up. I was recalled for the Korean War and on my way to Colorado in '51,I wound up in Omaha overnight.I checked the phone book and found Rotella Bakery. I knew they had one.I called and he answered the phone. He came and picked me up at the motel and drove me all around Omaha including Boy's Town.I said I wanted to buy him Dinner. No way. All the time we were riding around, his wife was making dinner. She had enough for ten people! Imet his folks and hada tour of the bakery.I checked a few years ago. He has passed away. Wapniarski-(lower far right) medic. He loved to give me my shots. He always let me give him his. I met with his old boss Dr.Carnazo in Monterey at a reunion. He's gone, too.
